Ali has been playing cello for 20 years, and has played all kinds of music: solo and with a wide array of orchestras and ensembles. is first job teaching cello was in high school, where he taught cello to both children and adults, beginners and the more advanced cellists as well at a local music shop. Over the years, he’s recorded for folk singers, played in rock bands, and had lots of individual and collaborative professional experience in music recording and with production technology. Ali graduated VCU with a BA for Sculpture + Extended Media in 2019.
Ali likes to help his students in understanding the love of their instrument and learning to love their experience playing it. He is familiar with the Suzuki method, as well as many other popular book series aimed at learning cello. Ali believes with his resources, and his knowledge, he can teach you how to play cello and express yourself through its mellow majesty.
